About the Island

Maui, known also as “The Valley Isle,” is the second largest Hawaiian island. Many consider it the most idyllic of all tropical islands. Nothing is as synonymous with the Hawaiian landscape and culture as the pineapple. The Pineapple farm is nestled in the tiny farm town of Haliʻimaile in beautiful upcountry Maui. The tour begins in an air-conditioned vehicle that transports you into the pineapple fields. While traveling through the pineapple fields, knowledgeable guides explain the planting and harvesting techniques of the pineapple and show how farm workers still cultivate the fruit by hand. After exploring the farm, guests are guided through the processing factory and shown how pineapple is tested, sorted, and packaged.
